My girlfriend had been going to Sport Body Work to help with her recovery from intense crossfit, as well as to correct some anatomical complications. I noticed her progress after a few sessions and persistence with her doing her “home work.” I decided to make an appointment to focus on my left leg, which had been suffering the aftermath of injuries from my youth. My left ankle was weak due to a skate boarding injury, and my hip has been bothering me for about 10 years after injuring it. Unfortunately my knee has also suffered because of the ankle and hip not functioning properly.

I am a free diver/spearo and wear long blade fins that put quite a bit of stress on the legs. I had been dealing with the pain on my left side which in turn affected my kicking technique and hindering my dives. After a handful of sessions at Sport Body Work I now understand where the pain is coming from, why its there, and moreover how to fix it. Strategic massaging of the affected areas, scraping, cupping, flossing, and the physical therapy have been a revelation of sorts to me.
